With a clear inspiration from Raphael and Guido Reni, Sassoferrato is an unknown artist for many. He is an artist who embodies the seventeenth-century Italian painting tradition and who has left us works of absolute value. Sassoferrato struck me for this classic theme, as it is intimate and exciting in the lights and in the deep sweetness with which the artist interprets the composition.

Giovanni Battista Salvi is striking for his refinement of the stroke and the drafting of the colors with which he mostly depicted sacred images.
